Visa C – Uniform (short-stay) Visa
A uniform (short-stay) visa entitles its holder to free movement throughout the entire Schengen area (*) for a maximum of 90 days in any 180-day period. The visa can be issued for one, two or multiple entries. In the event of multiple entries, the total duration of the different stays spent in the Schengen area cannot exceed 90 days in any 180-day period.

Visa A – Airport Transit Visa
An Airport Transit Visa is valid for transiting through the international transit areas of airports situated in the Schengen area, but not for entering the territory of a Schengen State.
Common list of third countries listed in Annex I to Regulation (EC) no 539/2001, whose nationals are required to be in possession of an airport transit visa when passing through the international transit area of airports situated on the territory of the Member States:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo (Dem. Rep.), Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka.
List of third countries whose nationals are required to be in possession of an airport transit visa when passing through the international transit area of the Luxembourg airport:
Angola, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Nepal, Sudan, Syria, South Sudan.
Visa D – Long-stay Visa
A long-stay visa is issued to nationals of certain non EU-countries who intend to stay longer than 90 days in Luxembourg.
