EU Heads of Mission visit to Trabzon

Between 1 and 3 October, the EU Heads of Mission visited the province of Trabzon. During their three-day visit, the ambassadors met the Governor Mr. Tahir Şahin and the Mayor Mr. Ahmet Metin Genç to hear about local priorities and explore areas for closer cooperation. The EU heads of mission participated in the opening ceremony of the 4th European Cinema Days before watching the game between Trabzonspor and the Irish football team Drogheda United. The Ambassadors continued their visit with engaging conversations with international studies students and had lunch with the Mayor Of Ortahisar Mr. Ahmet Kaya. During the last day of the mission, they visited the elegant Atatürk Mansion and the remarkable Sümela Monastery, exploring the region’s rich heritage.
