Mrs Feyhan Yaşar, the new Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Izmir took office

On the occasion of the appointment of Mrs Emine Feyhan Yaşar as new Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Izmir, with consular jurisdiction over the provinces of the Aegean Region (İzmir, Manisa, Kütahya, Uşak, Afyonkarahisar, Denizli, Aydın, Muğla), and Eskişehir, an official reception has been held on 5 March 2014 in İzmir with the participation of H.E. the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Turkey, Mrs Arlette Conzemius.

Mrs Yaşar is the Vice-Chairperson of Hedef Ziraat A.Ş., a  company of Yaşar Holding, which is one of the leading of industrial conglomerates of Turkey, the Chairperson of HDF FZCO, the Vice-Chairperson of Yaşar Education and Cultural Foundation and Member of the Board of Trustees of Yaşar University. Mrs Yaşar is also involved in the main business representative organisations of Turkey, as well as many civil society organisations.   

In her function of Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Izmir, Mrs Yaşar succeeds Mr. Jean-Marie Neef de Sainval, who has resigned from his position after more than 50 years of service. In her capacity, Mrs Yaşar will offer consular assistance to Luxembourg nationals. Moreover, she will promote economic and cultural relations, as well as mutually profitable trade and business opportunities between Luxembourg and Turkey.
