Ambassador FABER meets Mr. Nail OLPAK, President of DEIK

The Ambassador of Luxembourg, Mr. Georges FABER, met with the President of DEIK, Mr. Nail OLPAK, at DEIK Headquarters in Istanbul. It was Mr. FABER’s first encounter with Mr. OLPAK in his new position as President of DEIK. Mrs. Pinar ECZACIBASI, chairwoman of the Turkish-Luxembourg Business Council within DEIK also took part in the meeting.

The meeting was an excellent occasion to take stock of current business relations between Luxembourg and Turkey and to explore additional mutually beneficial opportunities together. Among others, Mr. FABER presented the expertise of Luxembourg in the financial services, ICT, satellite and logistics sectors. Mr. FABER and Mr. OLPAK agreed that it could be beneficial for both sides to engage in an exchange of expertise in some of these areas, which in turn could lead to an increase of the business volume between Turkey and Luxembourg.  Mrs. ECZACIBASI also identified the real estate sector as an area of potential cooperation between Luxembourg and Turkey.
