25 Luxembourg companies at the heart of Turkey’s industrial capital

Published Friday September 26 2014

25 Luxembourg companies and 12 companies from the border region of Saarland, attended an intense programme of targeted business-to-business meetings in Kocaeli, one of the most industrialised regions of Turkey, with a view to developing their business relations with small and medium sized Turkish companies.

The Ambassador of Luxembourg in Ankara Arlette Conzemius and the Vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and President of the Federation of Industrialists Robert Dennewald participated in the inauguration of the event.

The Enterprise Europe Network of the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg organised the 3rd edition of the Match4Industry Business Matching Event on 25-26 September 2014 in cooperation with ABİGEM East Marmara and the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry.

The event enjoyed genuine success, with more than 200 companies from 21 countries participating. This year, the organisation coincided with the “Santek Industry and Technology Fair”, providing an additional opportunity for the participants to interact with key industrial actors from Kocaeli. This event allowed the participant companies to evaluate mutual cooperation possibilities in various industrial sectors, such as automotive, building materials, plastics and rubbers, machinery, metals, packaging or clean technologies.

As relations between Luxembourg and Kocaeli are intensifying, the region of Kocaeli has accepted to be the “Honoured Region” at the professional fair “GR Business days“ that will take place in Luxembourg on 17 and 18 June 2015.
