Culture and Arts

Thanks to its cultural infrastructure and music festivals, Luxemburg is also firmly integrated in Europe’s cultural and artistic life. Since Luxembourg City served as a European Capital of Culture in 1995 and 2007, an increasing number of international artists and performers have been attracted here. In addition to new concert houses, the Grand Duchy has added a number of remodelled and newly built museums to create a fitting home for its large collection of artworks. The collection includes works of classical art, as well as a substantial number of contemporary pieces that are augmented by private galleries and showings.
